Description

the Goats’ Meadowthe Goats’ MeadowKozia Łąka (the Goats’ Meadow) is an organic farm where goat, sheep, cow cheeses and other dairy specialties are produced. Sightseeing, cheese-making shows and workshops are possible by appointment. The Organic Farm ‘Kozia Łąka’, located near Jelenia Góra, among fields and forests, with a beautiful view of the Karkonosze Mountains and the mountain of Śnieżka, produces the famous Łomnickie Cheeses variety. All products are fully organic, without any fertilizers or pesticides. The farm breeds goats (the herd has at present over 100 animals) and from their milk it produces unique cheeses. ‘It is our hobby, passion and... hard work’, say the owners, Bożena and Daniel Sokołowski.
In 2010, Łomnicki goat cheese was included in the list of traditional products of the Ministry of Agriculture, and during the Eastern Partnership Summit held in Warsaw as part of Poland's first Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Łomnicki cheeses were served to EU notables and they promoted Polish cuisine. You may find them on the menus of the best restaurants in the country.
