Description

Lawenda Izerska – is a farmhouse where we will find handicraft products, lavender bunches and seedlings, hazelnuts, quince fruit, Christmas trees. Visits by appointment. The owners are Dorota and Tomasz Pawlak who say about their farm: ‘Our adventure in the countryside began in 2006 when we were wondering how to use two hectares of land that we had bought with a house on it in a small village in Lower Silesia. For us, it was the beginning of a new stage of life away from the hustle and bustle of cities, in the midst of the charming nature of the Jizera Foothills. The combination of the name of this region and our favourite plant was an inspiration for the name of our farm, namely ‘Jizera Lavender’. We wrote our guide ‘How to grow lavender for pleasure and profit’, which is enjoying favourable reviews by readers and is available in the digital version.
Apart from lavender, we grow many other ornamental trees and shrubs. We have a hazelnut orchard, a Christmas tree plantation, a Japanese quince plantation and a nursery of energy poplar. Tomek will tell you about these and other plants, as this is his speciality and the apple of his eye. I will tell you about lavender and hens, which we have been breeding for over a year now. These wonderful and useful birds fascinated me so much that, after lavender, they have become another passion of mine.
We also invite you to visit our new blog about the life in the countryside, a place where dreams come true.
